OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) is characterized by Obsessions (recurrent and persistent thoughts, intrusive and inappropriate, causing marked anxiety, and that the subject cannot suppress or ignore) and Compulsions (Repetitive behaviors or mental acts that the person feels driven to perform in response to an obsession, or according to rules that must be applied rigidly).Treatment of OCD includes pharmacotherapy, as well as Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy, that can be potentiated by Hypnosis or EMDR.
