Phobia is an irrational, intense, persistent fear of certain situations, activities, things, or persons. It includes specific phobia (snakes, elevator, spiders, dogs, catching a specific illness...), social phobia (fear of social or performance situations), agoraphobia (fear of leaving a "safe" area; often associated with Panic Attacks). Treatment of Phobia includes pharmacotherapy, as well as Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy, that can be potentiated by Hypnosis or EMDR.
